Distance: 170 km | Approx. 5 hours

Meet our representative at Bagdogra Airport and drive to Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s busy border town and commercial gateway.

Check in to the hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, complete the required immigration formalities and begin the scenic drive to Paro.

Visit Sangye Migyur Ling Lhakhang, also known as Milarepa Tower, and see the Eight Dharma Kaya Stupas at Gedu. Stop at a roadside waterfall in the Chukha region and pass through Chuzom, where three rivers meet.

Check in to the hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, begin the hike to Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as Tiger’s Nest. Perched dramatically on a cliff above Paro Valley, it is Bhutan’s most recognised spiritual landmark.

Subject to time and accessibility, visit Drukgyel Dzong or drive to Sangchen Chokhor Monastery for panoramic views. In the evening, try traditional Bhutanese attire and enjoy shopping in Paro town.

After breakfast, check out and visit Ta Dzong and Rinpung Dzong.

Continue towards Punakha and Wangdue via Dochu La Pass, situated at approximately 3,150 metres. On clear days, the pass offers beautiful views of Bhutan’s Himalayan peaks.

Arrive in Punakha and check in to the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha.

Distance: 78 km one way | Approx. 3 hours

After breakfast, depart for a full-day excursion to Gangtey and Phobjikha Valley.

Visit Gangtey Gompa and explore the peaceful valley, known as the seasonal winter habitat of the Black-Necked Crane. Return to Punakha or Wangdue in the evening.

Overnight stay in Punakha.

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, also known as the Palace of Great Happiness. Built in 1637, it is one of Bhutan’s most historically important monasteries and fortresses.

Take a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Temple of Fertility, and visit the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Later, drive to Thimphu.

Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, begin a full-day Thimphu tour. See the Buddha Dordenma statue at Kuensel Phodrang and visit Simply Bhutan to learn about the country’s traditional lifestyle.

Continue to the National Library, a Buddhist nunnery, BBS Tower viewpoint and the Motithang Takin Preserve. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong and the Centenary Farmers Market for local food products and handicrafts.

Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Distance: 141 km | Approx. 5 hours

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Phuentsholing through Bhutan’s scenic mountain roads.

Distance: 170 km | Approx. 5 hours

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, concluding your Bhutan holiday with unforgettable Himalayan memories.
